Kambo (AKA Sapo) - the secretion from an amazonian tree frog, is a powerful medicine from the with many health benefits and a variety of applications. Although the experience is intense, the initial feverish effects are short-lived. Soon after many people experience a profound energetic reset, a cleansing of the physical body and a renewed stillness of the mind. Kambo is also a powerful immune system booster and the effects of this are long lasting.
Kambo or Sapo as it's often referred, originated with the Matsés tribes of the Peruvian and Brazilian Amazon. The process involves small dots being burned into the skin and then having the frog's secretion applied to the points to enter the lymphatic system of the body. The participant then goes through a process of fever and purging which lasts between 15 and 30 mins before the medicine is removed and gradually the effects wear off over the next hour.
