Sananga/Hapé
An optional and highly recommended service that I offer at Snailspace are the Amazonian, shamanic medicines of Hapé and Sananga. These are both very effective, natural medicines used for a variety of applications in the jungles of South America. In this context they are used to clear the energy field - particularly the upper chakras to bring a powerful state of presence, put a stop to stray thought patterns and "brain loops", to ground and settle the body and to set solid intentions for the healing session that follows.
SANANGA: Sananga is an eye drop made from the roots and bark of the Tabernaemontana undulata shrub. When applied, (after an initial but short lived sensation of stinging) it settles down to facilitate an almost ecstatic sensation coupled with a deep cleansing of blocked energies on emotional, physical, and energetic levels. Sananga can also bring clarity and expansion to vision and awareness. As well as this, in the jungle the drops are also used to cure and improve a broad range of ocular problems (Lambert et al 2010), like myopia, depth and colour perception, definition of images, and detection accuracy. Furthermore, this medicine is indicated in cases of severe eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataract, and blindness. Also brilliant for colds / flu!
HAPÉ: A wonderful medicine based on powdered mapacho - pure organic Amazonian tobacco. Depending on the particular tribe who made it and the variety and application of the medicine, the mapacho is mixed with ground herbs and the ash of various other plants to create a fine snuff which is blown up the nose with a pipe or "Tepi". Similar to Sananga, the initial feeling is intense, but quickly mellows out bringing about a state of blissful presence and grounding, leaving you feeling very clear and prepared for the healing session.
As an optional extra to a healing session (if appropriate for the client and the work), we charge £10 for these services or £5 for just one of the two. Please allow an extra 10 mins to your session (free of charge) to allow the medicines to settle before we begin the healing.
